Position: Pastry Chef
The Cellar Restaurant at The Shady Rest Hotel is currently looking for a hard working Pastry Chef with an artistic flare and previous experience in a similar position. Must be able to work extended hours and have a passion for food.
The incumbent must hold a degree in Hospitality Management or Commercial Cookery. List of duties are as follows:
• Ensure quality is maintained in department • Must be able to bake breads, cakes, pastries & biscuits • Liaising with vendors for food and equipments supplies • Maintaining high standards of hygiene and sanitation in kitchen • training staff • To ensure safety guidelines are followed properly by staff in kitchen • Constant quality checks • All other duties associate with the position.
