Amanaki Hotel is a boutique, family-owned hotel located in Apia, Samoa and has been operating since 2010. We are seeking a talented chef to join our team and maintain control of our busy restaurant kitchen.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead our kitchen staff ensuring staff productivity. Ensure all company guidelines are strictly adhered to. Maintain consistency of menu items in terms of portion sizes, presentation and quality. Ensure good hygiene practices, sanitation and safety policies are followed. Manage food wastage and try to keep kitchen costs in control Ensure orders are completed in a timely manner. You will be creating new items on the menu and come up with daily specials. Work with the owners in ensuring their ideas/requests are ensued.
REQUIREMENTS:
Must have previous experience as a Chef and be able to manage a busy kitchen Must be able to multitask in a high pressure environment Must have leadership skills and able to work well in a team environment Must have qualification in cooking
*Remuneration package will be based on experience and skill.
