NASAMA RESORT is looking for a dynamic and experienced Resort General Manager (or couple) to oversee and direct their Resort operations and to maintain our position as a successful resort with above average market occupancy.
RESORT DESCRIPTION Located just 10 minutes from Port Vila CBD, we are a medium size resort with two restaurants. We offer 43 top quality, fully furnished spacious beachfront apartments - all with stunning ocean views.
JOB BRIEF The successful candidate must have resort management experience and a thorough operational knowledge of resort management systems including online reservations, booking engine and OTA websites.
Some of the responsibilities include:
OPERATIONS, MAINTENANCE, GUEST RELATIONS Manage all resort departments and control operational costs; conduct daily detailed inspections to ensure public areas, buildings, public areas, swimming pool and apartment interiors are well-maintained and safe and will meet or exceed guest expectations; interact with guests daily to obtain feedback about their experiences on property.
BUSINESS STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT, ANALYSIS & EXECUTION Stay current with industry trends and monitor strengths and weaknesses of the competition; explore new business opportunities; maximise profitability, market share and customer satisfaction by staying current with industry trends; maintain the excellent relationships with the large number of booking partners we deal with; coordinate the rates and discounts offered to our booking partners online; react quickly to changes in market conditions; make adjustments with each booking partner at regular intervals according to resort occupancy, competitors’ rates and forward booking statistics; negotiate favourable annual contracts with our booking partners.
REVENUE MANAGEMENT Oversee the financial operations and profitability of the resort; control labour and capital expenses; establish effective pricing strategies; identify ways to grow occupancy, revenue and market share.
HUMAN RESOURCES Train, supervise, motivate, discipline and monitor the performance of all employees in accordance with the Vanuatu Employment Act and the company policy; ensure all employees are appropriately trained and performing to standard.
