Description: Resort in Samoa near Faleolo international airport and Mulifanua wharf, we have a 16 unit Boutique 3 1/2 star resort hotel offering oceanfront accommodation with professional service and warm hospitality. A popular restaurant serving South Pacific International cuisine, full bar, and a variety of water sports, tours and weddings, etc. Our location is 9 km west of the international Airport and 25 km to the Capital of Apia.
Samoa's destination is growing fast and we are looking for experienced professionals to continue the resort's growth moving forward whilst constantly adapting the operation to be able to deliver to guest expectations. The job entails a ‘jack of all trades’ ability and the experience of being able to resolve any issues fast and efficiently, whilst ensuring continuous guest satisfaction. It is key to be a problem solver, great organizer and have the ability to multi-task and prioritize, as well as deal with the general ‘Island Mentality’ of a Pacific Island and Samoa.
Only professional person/s with the right attitude who are happy to lead a team while creating a wonderful experience for guests, delivering a great product, and assist in running a smooth and successful operation.
Supervisors must have hands on experience in operations which can include; guest relations, resort activities, resort and boat maintenance a plus, food and beverage, housekeeping, landscaping, book-keeping & administration, supervising/managing of staff, staff scheduling, marketing and the general day to day activities involved in running the resort. Most importantly the job includes ensuring a great guest experience and satisfaction wanting to return.
The team wants to work a person/s with a background in hospitality industry and ideally small, exclusive resorts only.
The positions offered are for hands on supervisors only in the office or one of the other departments and are keen to working as part of a team and who are committed to their jobs and the hospitality industry. The supervisors will run the day to day operations of the departments they are working in and report to the management team/owners. Please only apply if you have an actual history and experience in hospitality industry and or resort supervisor/management levels.
Persons must have at least 2 years minimum exposure in the hotel/resort industry or similar, ideally people who have worked in the South Pacific and persons who live in NZ, Australia or the South Pacific.
The candidates should be at least 28 years old, preferable in the range 28-50 years. candidates must be healthy, outgoing, diplomatic, prefer non-smokers, sports-minded with a can do attitude!
Offer: full board, lodging, Local Samoan base salary and bonuses or incentives based on performance. The space is only big enough for a maximum of two people. We are looking for applicants to start 2nd quarter.
